Wedding Tips and Suggestions

Below are several suggestions that not only make photography of your event more
successful, but it also helps the entire day flow more smoothly. It is our intention to not
only provide you with the best possible photography but also to do it in a relaxed and
fun atmosphere for everyone at your wedding.

Punctuality

Probably the most important thing to instill in your wedding party and family members is
being on time. We have only a limited time to work without interrupting your wedding
day schedule of events. Weddings are real time events, it is almost always impossible
to find additional time to get something you missed.

If people are late, we must do one of three things, 1 - skip some photographs you
should have, 2 - rush through the photography, and trust me, stressed out photography
conditions reflect in the images, 3 - make your guests and other service providers wait.

Plan to have fun

That's right, plan to have fun. Your wedding day should be a fun day for all concerned,
no reason it should be otherwise. In order to get the kind of images you see in our
samples you need to interact with us in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

You have booked us for our services, we have gone over your wedding plans in detail,
now you just have to use the time we have set aside for photography and enjoy the
experience. Together we can create a collection of outstanding images.

Make a plan and stick to it

Once you have a good event plan in place do not let other members make changes on
the fly. Together we have gone over every aspect of your wedding day, any problems
have been identified and adjusted, to make any changes once your day commences will
certainly cause major problems.

Create a groups shot list

This is a must have list of family and friends you would like to have yourself
photographed with. This will also let us know if there will be any issues with times and
locations. Make sure you inform these people prior to your wedding that you will be
needing them for your special photographs after the ceremony.

Please remember to consider any unique family relationships we should be aware of.
It is important to never make anyone uncomfortable standing next to someone they
would rather not be with.

Designate

The bride and groom should not have to be making every decision on every little thing
that occurs on a wedding, you will be busy enough. Designate a person who knows
what's going on to help you on your wedding day. This person will also be able to
collect the people required for any group photos while we do our thing with the couple.

Pre-wedding ceremony photography

Many people still think that seeing each other prior to the ceremony is bad luck, this is a
centuries old superstition. Many couples complain about the delay between events on a
wedding, they whish there was a more continuous flow.

With photographs taken before the ceremony, you gracefully exit and go directly to the
reception where you can enjoy your wedding guests. In all of our weddings, we have
never had a couple sorry that they had their formal photographs taken before the
ceremony. The advantages are enormous.
